Frequently Asked Questions

  • When do I pay?
At the end of class, after you have completed all of the tests and skill stations. If you have to leave early or are unsatisfied for some reason, you’re not out any money!
  • When do I get my card(s)?
The American Heart Association has transitioned to all electronic cards. These e-cards are emailed to the email address you provided when registering for the class. These cards come directly from AHA and not ACME. The email address the cards are sent from is “eCards@heart.org”. Cards usually arrive  within 48-hours of completing the class. Please make sure to check your SPAM box. Additionally, we recommend that you register with your personal email address, as opposed to a work email address. We have found that some business’ email servers block the e-card emails. Using a personal email address helps to avoid any issues. Additional information can be found on the AHA website.
  • Will this work for my employer?
Our classes are American Heart Association(AHA) compliant and you will receive an official AHA course certification card upon successful completion of our classes. Most all employers require an AHA card.
  • What name do I sign up with?
The name you sign up with is what we print on your card. We recommend that the name on your AHA card match the name that is on your medical certification ie. Nursing, EMT/Paramedic, Texas Medical Board certification.
  • How can I pay?
We prefer CASH, and accept checks, Venmo, and Zelle.
We also accept PayPal and credit cards with an additional 8% fee.
  • What do I do if I have to cancel or reschedule?
Contact Us and we will make the requested changes.
  • What if I want to change the classes I signed up for?
You can just let us know on the day of class when you sign in on the roster.
  •  What happens if I lose my card?
Since AHA only issues e-cards, you can re-print them here.
  • What if none of the class dates listed work for my schedule?
Contact Us as we have small classes scheduled from time to time that may work better for you. We can even do one on one classes for ad additional fee.
  • Do I get Continuing Education Units(CEUs) or hours for these classes?
This can be a complicated issue, depending on who is requesting CE’s. For nurses CEUs are provided by third party companies and can be costly. At the current time we do not offer nursing CEUs but are exploring opportunities to do so in the future. For EMTs, Paramedics, Respiratory Therapists, ect., the AHA card should automatically count for CE hours without any additional documentation.
